Hello friends I think I am having a blogging lull I think it is linked to the weather which is wet , cold and windy utterly miserable so is am the same.

Well my kitchen painting is in full swing so here are some before pictures. It is a maple kitchen which is over 10 years but it is is a solid wood kitchen so it did not make sense to change it.

It has been a wet cold week here and more rain is forecast oh roll on summer you cannot come too soon.

I am busy sorting out my kitchen as I am taking the plunge and painting my kitchen presses something I have wanted to do for some time. I have a solid wood maple kitchen which is still perfect but I am hoping a makeover will update it. I have not made my final decision re the colour but it will be blue . As u will have to live with the colour for sometime I cannot afford to make a mistake.

Birthday

Happy Birthday to a very stylish First Lady who is 50 today.

Weekend

I am so glad it is the weekend I always find January a tough month the excitement of Christmas is over, you have eaten too much and need to detox plus the visa bill arrives.

But on the good news front my daughter has finished her final exams and has got a job in fact her dream job.

I will show you the rest of Carton House Hotel so you can see the old part and how they have managed to combine the old and new architecture in such a great way.

This time of year I particularly love flowers and candles to brighten up my day.

New Year

Happy New Year dear blogging friends. Thank you for your lovely wishes .

I am sorry for my absence but with the combination of Christmas, ill mother and daughter doing her finals life has been hectic.

I am not making a New Years resolutution but instead choosing a word Happiness.

I had a great New Years Eve with friends and my husband surprised me with a weekend away at Carton House. I would highly recommend it.  I love how the old house and new design have been married so well together.  I had a spa treatment which I so enjoyed.  The staff are so friendly and helpful and their is a great sense of rapport between the staff which I always think is a good sign.

Of course I did not need to eat or drink anymore so it is serious health and fitness time at the moment.
