As we are all probably suffering a little from the January blues as the excitement and fun of Christmas is behind us and the visa bill has arrived. I think this is a very apt post that makes us appreciate the great things in life family, friends, health and happiness .

We are all on our countdown I have a dinner party this evening so I am a busy little bee this is my only break today.

Just thinking about our American friends on this tragic weekend in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.

I know that the tragic death of Savita has been shown worldwide and many people including me fail to understand how this tragedy could have happened.

I watched her husband give an interview tonight in which he spoke of his love for his beautiful wife and the tragic events that led to her death.

He was such a gentleman and spoke with such dignity and courage. It was impossible not to be moved by his interview.

If this man wants a public enquiry then I think it is the least that he and his late wife Savita deserve.

Sometimes in life even if you are a glass half full person like me you experience the dishonesty and selfishness of people that takes your breath away and it takes every ounce of self belief and courage to rise above hurt but you know your friend will put that arm around you and help you through with a laugh and a cuddle.

We have all been there.

This just made me laugh so much and is so appropriate for a certain friend.

Bearing in mind that there has been 48 hours of non stop rain here in the sunny south east while the weather in Dublin yesterday was sunny. I thought this was very appropriate.

I am trying to remain positive but am sure finding it difficult. So maybe it is time to put on some music and dance.
