Weekend

I am so glad it is the weekend I always find January a tough month the excitement of Christmas is over, you have eaten too much and need to detox plus the visa bill arrives.

But on the good news front my daughter has finished her final exams and has got a job in fact her dream job.

I will show you the rest of Carton House Hotel so you can see the old part and how they have managed to combine the old and new architecture in such a great way.

This time of year I particularly love flowers and candles to brighten up my day.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Sorry the quality of the photos are not so great a wedding had taken place earlier so I could not go in until late at night when most of the light had been turned off. But I still think you can see the beauty of the building.

New Year

Happy New Year dear blogging friends. Thank you for your lovely wishes .

I am sorry for my absence but with the combination of Christmas, ill mother and daughter doing her finals life has been hectic.

I am not making a New Years resolutution but instead choosing a word Happiness.

I had a great New Years Eve with friends and my husband surprised me with a weekend away at Carton House. I would highly recommend it.  I love how the old house and new design have been married so well together.  I had a spa treatment which I so enjoyed.  The staff are so friendly and helpful and their is a great sense of rapport between the staff which I always think is a good sign.

Hope you are settling into the new year. Have a lovely weekend.

Christmas

Happy Christmas to all my lovely blogging friends I hope you have a lovely day with family and loved ones.

Thank you so much for your very kind wishes for my mother. She is getting better but it will be a slow process and she will have to take things easy for a little while.

Presents are wrapped and I have just the final preparations to do today. I will probably go into town to savour the Christmas atmosphere and watch all the last minute shoppers panicking.

I hope to have a relaxing lazy Christmas reading and watching movies and listening to music. What are your plans?

Weekend

It is very windy and wet here today not the best day for shopping or traveling. I hope these gale force winds disappear. It is difficult to know what to wear in this weather.

I had a fun time in Belfast and bought lots. I was lucky to get my light fitting which I had wanted I love when that happens.  The city looked particularly lovely and festive.

The decorations are up, tree is up, cake is almond iced, cards sent so I think it is time to relax a little and savour the atmosphere and remember the real meaning of Christmas. In our fast paced life I sometimes find I do not stop and enjoy the moment.

My mum is in hospital after major surgery so you will have to forgive me if I do not post or comment in the next while as I will spending time with her. If I can I will.

I hope your preparations are going well and you are enjoying the build up to the big day.

Weekend

I am having a weekend away in Belfast. I had a great days shopping a not so great lunch but our hotel the Park Avenue is lovely.

I cannot recommend Belfast enough the people are so friendly and welcoming.

I am a little behind with my Christmas plans so have to energise myself next week. Plus it is time to put up the tree.

It is also time to look at some fashion for Christmas I think you can never have enough sparkle this time of year.

I love this outfit I'm sure it costs a fortune but the skirt is amazing

Perfect sparkly top

A great dress to wear on Christmas Day

Love the colour of this dress

Some sparkes I hope to wear

We are taking our Christmas plans seriously.

Have a lovely weekend
