Weekend

It's the weekend yippee I have not even unpacked from my summer holiday and I am packing again for a weekend away. But how the weather has changed here you can definitely feel autumn on its way.

It is almost time to pack away the shorts, vest tops, sandals and kaftans sob sob I am as I have told you before a summer girl at heart and find it difficult to get excited about winter clothes.

I thought I would should some outfits I like that suit this in between time.

Have a lovely weekend

My orange toenails I think this is my last sandal day sadly.

A long sleeved striped top with white trousers works well

The pink shirt and wedges are perfect

A denim shirt with a long skirt is perfect

The leopard pumps work so well here

Any stripey top with a touch of red and a chunky necklace

White and beige with the big bag. This looks so chic

Weekend

It is a lovely sunny weekend and I am lucky to be at our summer home .  It's a busy weekend down here with a triathlon taking place and also the lovely food fair takes place on Sunday. So if you are in the area I would recommend a visit.

Both my children are away so it is a very empty house. We are like Darbey and Joan rattling round .

I have a busy week of packing ahead as I will be down here for over a month but looking forward to walks, tennis, yoga and maybe even the odd swim. Of course I will also include lots of alfresco dinners and some wine.

Hope you are having a lovely summer.

Here are some things I'm liking at the moment

Love this photo my son sent to his sister for her birthday. It was first day of school so many years ago. Happy Birthday Zoe.

Lots of walks here this weekend.

This is how to dress stylishly when pregnant. Stacey kiebler she always looks so chic and stylish. Kardashians take note.

Favourite flowers

This is a look I love. I am a stripes lady in the summer. But I love the bag.

A scarf I purchased from etsy recently.

Have a fun weekend

Weekend

The weekend has arrived very quickly and Easter seems just around the corner.

I have spent my week trying on my summer clothes as we have booked our summer holiday to Portugal in a couple of weeks. Oh the fright of trying on swimwear when you are so pale. But I am so looking forward to some sun.

I just thought I would do a pot purri of things I like at the moment.

Really enjoying walking at the moment

The beauty of daffodils

This j crew blouse is sold out but would be perfect for summer white trousers

This blouse is so feminine and pretty

A little Easter chocolate cake

Mother's Day flowers

These Lily's from sainburys have lasted 2 weeks

I remodelled an antique ring into a necklace and am so delighted with the result.  I was not wearing the ring.  I would really recommend restyling your jewellrey.

Have a fun weekend

Weekend

It was a bank holiday weekend last weekend so we had Monday off so a shorter working week for everyone here.

I went down to Dunmore East last weekend to open up the house. It was a weekend of dusting and cleaning but I did manage to get some long walks in.

You can forget how beautiful this place is but do not be fooled by the sun in the photos it was absolutely freezing and temperatures are suppose to drop even more this weekend. Oh how I long for sunshine.

So here is a little beachside post from somone longing for a summer at the beach.

Rocky running on the beach

Just so peaceful only me on the beach

Seagulls at the port

I did see people swimming I do not know how they swim in such cold water.

I made this peri peri prawns from the frugality blog.

Oh how I long for this.

I bought these shorts from j crew unfortunately the shirt was sold out.

Have a fun weekend.

Weekend

It is very windy and wet here today not the best day for shopping or traveling. I hope these gale force winds disappear. It is difficult to know what to wear in this weather.

I had a fun time in Belfast and bought lots. I was lucky to get my light fitting which I had wanted I love when that happens.  The city looked particularly lovely and festive.

The decorations are up, tree is up, cake is almond iced, cards sent so I think it is time to relax a little and savour the atmosphere and remember the real meaning of Christmas. In our fast paced life I sometimes find I do not stop and enjoy the moment.

My mum is in hospital after major surgery so you will have to forgive me if I do not post or comment in the next while as I will spending time with her. If I can I will.

I hope your preparations are going well and you are enjoying the build up to the big day.

The before

The after

I made this little arrangement

Weekend

It is so cold this week the heat is on full and soups are the number one choice for lunch. It feels like snow could be on its way but we are being assured it will not happen. It is definitely a scarf, hat and gloves weather.

I love my morning walk with Rocky and am lucky to live close to a number of parks. My absolute favourite is Endas park which is not as busy as many others and is a joy to walk in this time of year.
The colours of the trees are so lovely with squirrels all over the place.

It's time to get my Christmas list sorted so a busy weekend ahead.  Looking forward to red wine, candles, comfort food and a good film.

Have a lovely warm weekend.

Lots of warm drinks at the moment.

The lovely park where I walk most days.

I love this bridge the craftsmanship is so great. I watched the carpenter build it. Such an amazing talent.

Oilivia does it again. So chic and stylish.

She knows how to dress well in cold weather.

Scarf and gloves essential in this weather.

Loving this light from Bhs sadly they do not deliver to Ireland.

Rain rain go away

It is utterly miserable here today a day for staying indoors lighting some candles , eating chocolate and watching a movie.  I do not mind the cold but this rain makes me miserable.

So I have tried to do a positive rain post.

Here a few things that might cheer you up on a wet day.

Wearing pink

Sitting in a cafe watching the world go by

Wearing your new boots

Lighting your favourite john rocha candles

A lovely candlelit bath

A walk with a loved one in the rain

Wearing perfume

A cuddle from your favourite dog.

Have a lovely weekend
