It was a busy weekend I decided to host a 50th birthday party on Friday evening. As I only decided on Thursday evening I was under pressure. I did not finish my shopping until 3.30 Friday and I only started cooking then but it did work out even though guests were arriving at 7.30.
I make a lovely hazelnut layer cake as the birthday cake which turned out well. Thanks to Lorraine's pascale a latest recipe book for the rest of the menu.
Saturday was lazing around and cleaning. Sunday was watching rugby in the rain (true mother love).
Here's hoping for a rain free happy week.
Lindo bolo! Hummm ... parece ser delicioso! Amo avelãs! linda semana! Abraços!

Just enjoyed catching up on your recent posts (loved the Halloween pictures)The cake looks amazing and I'm a big fan of hazelnuts. I've had my eye on this book as I bought Lorraine Pascale's previous one and found the recipes easy to follow. I enjoy watching her cookery programmes too. I'm definitely going to buy this latest one now!

ReplyDeleteDimi..
Wow - that is an unbelievable beauty of a cake to make on a late Friday arvo. Fabulous. You are indeed the super hostess - well done you. (I always do it just before too - I find it so much less stressful, bizarrely)
