Golden jubilee

To continue on a royal theme somone who is often overlooked in the fashion stakes is Sophie Wessex I think she wears fabulous hats and has really improved her image in the last couple of years.

I love hats.

Sadness

My thoughts and prayers go out to Nicola Furlongs family and friends.

As the parent of teenagers this is your worst nightmare. You need to allow them spread their wings but you worry so much that they will be safe.

Nicola was in Japan as a student and was murdered after a night at a concert she was due to return home soon. So very sad. May she rest in peace.

Golden Jubilee

Happy Golden Jubilee to the Queen.

I sat on the plane beside a man who was so anti royals I was amazed this type of attitude still existed.

I admire the Queen because she has devoted her life to her country and did not choose to do so at such a young age. You do not have to be a royalist to admire a person who has never put a foot wrong , loves her family and her country.

I did feel so sorry for her standing in the rain for so many hours today. I hope the sun shines for her for the rest of the week.

Welcome Home

There were 2 good things about coming home. The sun and rain have meant the flowers in the garden are in full bloom which makes for a great floral display.

Rocky missed me and has had lots of cuddles for me plus he is following me around like my shadow.
