Thought

Bearing in mind that there has been 48 hours of non stop rain here in the sunny south east while the weather in Dublin yesterday was sunny. I thought this was very appropriate.

I am trying to remain positive but am sure finding it difficult. So maybe it is time to put on some music and dance.

Olympics

I have to say I did enjoy the opening ceremony. My highlight was the way the torch was lit at the end with a petal for each country it was an engineering feat.

I also enjoyed David Beckham in the boat I thought this was so cool.

As for the outfits worn by the British team they looked like something Elvis would wear. While many have mentioned how stylish white and gold can be together this did not work.

Good luck to the Irish team and fingers crossed for Annalise Murphy (pictured below) who did so well in the sailing today.

Flowers

I do not like to get flowers on valentines day I prefer to get flowers on an ordinary day when I think they mean so much more.

My husband gave me a gorgeous bouquet this weekend which I love.

Yippee we have sun and in honour of this rare happening a couple of sunny pictures with the colour orange which suits this lovely weather.

Coastal Style part 2

A little bit more coastal style this time fashion. I do think that when you are beside the sea you wear a different style of fashion to city life.

Of course blue and white are popular but I do find I wear much more colour.

Fashion

I am in need of a little bit of glitter and sparkle in my life with this dull weather. Just by adding a signature necklace really makes such a difference to palomas outfit.

I also love the leather jacket with the dress.

Seaside

As I am beside the seaside I thought I would post some coastal style pictures.I love the white and light in these photos and the way adding colour adds so much life.

I always think blue works so well with seaside interiors. Which room do you like the best?

Internet

Apologies folks but the Internet connection keeps dropping along with my phone service so I am having great difficulty leaving comments on blogs. But I am reading your lovely daily posts.

The sun is shining and I am loving every moment. My mum and dad are down so it's lots of walking on the beach, relaxing , sunning ouselves and of course eating. We managed to eat lunch outside which I love and are out to dinner tonight.

Tennis

I am playing tennis every day and my gear is really from the dark ages. It is difficult to get tennis gear that fits, is feminine and suitable for purpose (not too short).

I an definitely not a Serena Williams girl more Maria Sharafova type of girl

I love the combination of navy and white I think it always looks so chic and fresh.

It is the start of another week in what I can only say is the worst summer I can ever remember. I am trying to remain positive and am walking, playing tennis and some yoga but I must say am finding it hard to be in good form.
