Sometimes in life even if you are a glass half full person like me you experience the dishonesty and selfishness of people that takes your breath away and it takes every ounce of self belief and courage to rise above hurt but you know your friend will put that arm around you and help you through with a laugh and a cuddle.
We have all been there.

Fashion
Blazer and jeans
As the seasons change there is one outfit that always works jeans and a blazer you can wear with boyfriend jeans and a white t-shirt in summer , white blouse or polo in winter. Add a scarf and you have such a chic look.
Love this look can we worn with converse, boots and ballet flats. It also looks good on all ages.

Golf
Golf Widow
It is that time of year ladies when we become golf widows and our couch has a dent in the cushions.
We become golf widows to the Ryder Cup but it could be an opportunity as husbands have limited conversation during this weekend. To say they are slightly distracted would be an understatement.
So on Friday introduce that dress that has been hidden in the back of the wardrobe. I have done this already.
Saturday tell him you are going to decorate the hall in silver and lilac. This will happen tomorrow.
Sunday that's when I might tell him think I might go away with my friend to the sun.
Good luck ladies make the most of this opportunity but I have to say my husband is very kind and generous Ryder Cup or not. But I am a golf widow this weekend.

Weather
Rain
Well it's raining cats and dogs here I really do not know where this saying came from but the weather is truly awful rain, cold, gales and the traffic is at a standstill in Dublin.
It's an evening to put on the fire eat lasagne and have a glass of red wine.
Have a lovely evening.

Hallway
I had painted my hallway a mocha brown because I had been inspired by the lovely entrances below.
However the light in our winters are too dark so I am back to the drawing board and probably choosing greys as they reflect more light.
But I do love these pictures and like the touch of pink with brown.

Flowers
As I post on Fiona's green day from Raindrops and Daisies showing something green I thought I would show you this most unusual flower I have in my garden in Dunmore East.
Rocky likes it as well

It's a busy weekend ahead. I am packing for a weekend away difficult to know what clothes to pack weather is cold today but to be milder over the weekend.
Filling the fridge with food so the kids do not starve when I'm away.
I will be spending the day at a rugby blitz my son is taking part in all day Saturday. I am out to dinner that evening.
I hope to go for a walk on the beach followed by some yoga.
Hopefully breakfast in bed with the newspapers.

Dressing Tables
Following on from the dressing room post here are some dressing tables that I am loving at the moment. I like a dressing table to be feminine and pretty. A real feature in a bedroom.
Here are a couple I like funnily they all seem to have a mirror theme.

Kitchen
I would love to paint my kitchen presses they are maple and I feel that a new dose of colour would modernise the look. Unfortunately my husband is not convinced so until then here are some of the kitchens I love.
My kitchen is the middle pictures.
What do you think?

Boots
Well I bought my boots sadly they are not the Tory Burch ones I might have to ask Santa for those.
I am pleased with my purchase I wanted the boots to wear with skinny jeans etc not with a skirt.
They are John Rocha and better still Debenhams currently have 25% off boots so they were a real bargain.
So yes I am now hoping for cooler weather so I can wear my new boots.

Funny
It is so typical the week you are trying to stop topless photos of yourself being published you are lucky enough to be met by a topless local lady in the Solomon Islands while on your royal tour. I thought this type of thing would only happen to me (not the topless bit of course).
I think Kate thought it was funny too.

Tragedy
Sometimes tragedies happen that really are so sad and make no sense at all. I suppose because I come from a farming background and have been a rugby supporter all my life this tragedy has had a great impact
At the weekend It appears that on the family farm the family dog fell into a slurry pit and then the father Noel slipped and fell in while trying to rescue it. His eldest son Graham then tried to rescue him followed by his brother Nevin. Their sister also tried to help. All 3 men were overcome by the fumes and tragically died. Their sister was rushed to hospital and has luckily survived.
Nevin was just 22 and was a very gifted rugby player he played for Ulster and won young rugby player of the year in 2011.He was destined for great success and would certainly have played for Ireland at senior level. Everyone who knew him said He was a quite, good humoured, kind person who had great faith and remained unaffected by his success.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this incredibly sad time.
So as we all face the start of another week where everyone is back to school and college and all their extra activities and we seem so busy and stressed.
We must be so grateful that our family will be coming in the door to us this evening
