Girls Night Out

The start of my Christmas begins at the Harvey Nichols Christmas evening. Since it opened it has become a tradition to have an evening of shopping followed by dinner in the restaurant. They have a special shopping event.

The discounts are good 15% on makeup and a minimum of 15% on fashion (there is a lucky dip where you take a card which gives you anything up to 50%).

There was free drink cava, mulled wine etc and a great singer singing live on the ground floor.

I would recommend their restaurant they currently offer 2 courses for €25 or 3 for €30. I always find the food here great.

I bought my cos scarf in Bt2 that I had on my wish list.

I bought a lovely chanel eyeshadow.

Dundrum looked really festive I love the lights on the trees.

All in all it really put me in the Christmas spirit and a night out with the girls was just the tonic I needed.

Weekend

It's going to be a cold weekend here so I am going to cosy up by the fire as much as I can.
I look forward to wearing my new waistcoat
My son is going for an interview for a Christmas job today fingers crossed he gets it.

I started my Christmas shopping yesterday and was so pleased with myself I celebrated with mince pies. I could feel the Christmas atmosphere.

I will spend much of the weekend watching rugby on tv and then when my son plays.

Savita Hallappanavar

I know that the tragic death of Savita has been shown worldwide and many people including me fail to understand how this tragedy could have happened.

I watched her husband give an interview tonight in which he spoke of his love for his beautiful wife and the tragic events that led to her death.

He was such a gentleman and spoke with such dignity and courage. It was impossible not to be moved by his interview.

If this man wants a public enquiry then I think it is the least that he and his late wife Savita deserve.

The graduation was great the ceremony was an hour and was a very happy relaxed affair held in the most gorgeous room in the RDS. I will post some pictures soon.

Rocky waited patiently at my daughters door to catch a glimpse of her outfit.

A busy weekend of painting ahead I have gone for various shades of grey as my curtains are a vibrant velvet.

I bought a light fitting which I am delighted with and I think will really finish the hall.

Yippee it's the weekend lots of sickness is this house luckily I have escaped but have been head nurse for the week.

I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Making final preparations for my daughters graduation next week. I bought this dress in Warehouse which I am going to wear with a navy coat but cannot decide on shoes or boots.

I am starting to paint my hall if I have the energy it will be various shades of grey (sounds like the book ) how funny.

I also need to start my Christmas list as it is fast approaching. Years ago I would have all my gifts bought at this stage.

Breakfast in bed on Sunday reading the newspapers would be perfect morning.

On a busy week it is lovely to treat yourself to a bunch of flowers.
