Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Happy Saint Patrick's Day a little late.

In honour of the day I thought I would do a green post. I do not have much green in my wardrobe but I do wonder why.

Hope you are all keeping well. I am currently waiting for the eclipse.

Have a lovely weekend.

Holidays & Technical Difficulties

Apologies for my silence but my internet connection is poor combined with little or no phone signal it is virtually impossible to communicate. If I have not commented it is because it can take up to 30 mins to write a comment as the connection keeps dropping. In some ways it's good to be without technology as you read more, walk, garden etc but in many ways it's a little frustrating.

So I hope I manage to post this.

I have been so lucky the weather is simply amazing and my days are spent outdoors from walking on the beach to painting , eating outside and of course sitting under my umbrella looking at blogs and reading,

I thought I would do a seaside post.

Just love this look

My morning walk

The plants are loving this sun

Love the combination of patterns

I am living on fresh seafood

This is similar to me each day shorts, sandals, tshirt and hat.

So very true

Have a fun weekend

Holiday

I am down in my holiday home for a one month holiday. I am hoping the weather will improve again as this week has been a little wet.

I pack my car to the brim and myself and rocky head down.  I bring most of my house because I love to cook, read cookbooks, paint, do yoga and play tennis.

It does take a little time to get used to being on your own and yet in many ways it is a good thing that maybe we should all do from time to time. Of course my husband comes down at the weekend and for holidays which is a great thing.

Last weekend was busy here with a triathlon and a food festival so it was a very busy village indeed.

We planted the garden so it flowers slightly later than Dublin so the garden is just about to come into full flower and looks great.

Hope you are having a good summer.

Wet Dublin

We went to Elbow concert unfortunately it was outdoors but the rain was light. It was held in The Royal Hospital Kilmainham a gorgeous venue.

They are playing at Glastonbury this weekend.

Sunshine in the garden

A new purchase from the food fair . The leaves are very silvery in reality.

Some lavender to plant

The garden is certainly green

This is what I plan on wearing this weekend.

Birthday & Holiday

Well it's finally arrived its holiday time and as it is raining and utterly miserable outside  I cannot wait for a little sand on my toes and sunshine. We are back to Portugal again as we has such a great time last year.

Tomorrow is my big birthday I cannot believe I will be 50 (first time I have written that) . Actually I do not mind in many ways I feel healthier now than I was at 40.  I do think age is in the mind there are plenty of people in their twenties acting like grannies and people in their 80's acting like children.  I look forward to a happy and healthy time in my 50's.

I started the week with a lovely lunch in Avoca with my sisters which was so enjoyable we do not do this often enough. Tomorrow night I hit the town with drinks at the Shelbourne followed by dinner in town with friends.

I have to finish my packing, organise the house, cuddle the dog and tick off my long list.

I may take a little break or I might drop by.  Hope you have a lovely weekend.

This will be me

Avoca never fails to deliver great food. I had a gorgeous beef curry.

Lunch was followed by some retail therapy . First stop was the Cos shop recently opened on Wicklow street.

See you soon and thank you for your lovely comments.

Holiday Clothes

It has been a lovely week here. We even managed a barbecue. This weather always happens at exam time my son starts his next week.  It is lovely to wear lighter clothes but it is still not shorts and flip flops weather.

I took out my summer clothes today and thought I would show you a little sample.

My holiday is only 2 weeks away so I am starting  to get excited. My husband thinks I'm crazy with my outfits laid out on the bed in the spare room. But I think the build up to your holiday is part of the fun.

Hope the sun is shining with you and have a lovely weekend.

New sandals I bought comfortable and yet modern. As the streets are all cobble locked and very steep. I learned last year that high shoes don't work. I fact I wore my flats out and changed to higher heels before entering the restaurant.

I love shorts on holidays and I think the sequinned tshirt dresses them up.

Bargain trousers from Dunnes Stores

Hard to get the true colour of these shorts they are much pinker in reality.

J crew trousers

L'occitaine Products suitable for carry on.

New Year

Happy New Year dear blogging friends. Thank you for your lovely wishes .

I am sorry for my absence but with the combination of Christmas, ill mother and daughter doing her finals life has been hectic.

I am not making a New Years resolutution but instead choosing a word Happiness.

I had a great New Years Eve with friends and my husband surprised me with a weekend away at Carton House. I would highly recommend it.  I love how the old house and new design have been married so well together.  I had a spa treatment which I so enjoyed.  The staff are so friendly and helpful and their is a great sense of rapport between the staff which I always think is a good sign.

Hope you are settling into the new year. Have a lovely weekend.
