Hello blogging friends . 

Apologies for being missing for the last while. No excuse really other than January utterly depresses me the cold, the extra weight from Christmas eating, working harder than ever in the gym,  visa bills, wearing winter clothes and everyone suffering from colds.

But I can feel Spring in the air the bulbs are bursting out, the birds are singing in the garden and brighter clothes are coming into the shops.  So on this positive front I have chosen a fashion post to start the new year.  I love blush pink it is such a delicate feminine colour that suits both darks and blonds.  Here are a few of my favourite looks.

Weekend

The sun is still shining and I even managed a barbecue during the week. It's a busy week college starts next week, all the jobs I said I will do after the summer now need to be done.  I am looking forward to getting into a routine. I find myself much more organised.

I am trying to buy just a couple of good outfits for the winter rather than bits and pieces here and there. I like the idea of a grey jacket and trousers as my first outfit. So here are a few grey outfits I like.

Navy and white is such a great combination  whether it's an outfit or decor.  It always looks so fresh and chic.

I think the time has come to put away the summer outfits and take out the boots and jumpers. I have not decided what I need for my winter outfits yet. I can never excited about winter clothes.

Very excited my son arrives home from his summer in California today.  Looking forward to his good humour, fun and chat.

I am away for the weekend it is difficult to pack for this time of year it is a combination of white trousers, jeans, t shirts, jumpers and fleeces a real irish weekend bag.

Happy 4th of July

Hope all my american friends plus my son are having a wonderful 4th of July.

It's a very wet day so I am stuck on the couch watching Wimbledon. I am not really a soccer fan so the odd soccer match is enough for me but I do love the atmosphere and great tennis matches at Wimbledon .  It is one of my ambitions to go.  My friend was there yesterday and said she did not know whether to watch the tennis or the style which was amazing.

In honour of the 4th I thought I would do a little red, white and blue post.

Accessories

Some ladies love to buy shoes or bags for me it is accessories everything from scarves to jewellrey , sunglasses etc. I think the simplest outfit is finished by the perfect accessories.

I also think they are great presents for your friends.

I cannot let this weekend go by without wishing Ireland good luck in their rugby match and hoping that Brian O'Driscoll will enjoy playing his final match in Dublin. ( For thoese of you who are not familiar with Brian he is our best ever rugby player who is retiring this weekend. He is one of thoese sportsmen who is everything that is good about sport).

Scarves are my favourite accessorie I rarely wear an outfit without one.

Really like this necklace it's probably chanel so a liitle out of my league. But the good thing is there are so many good copies of more exspensive items.

Oh it feels like Spring is here at last . I so want to get rid of my gloves, hat, scarf and wooly jumpers. 

So just to cheer myself up I have a little pink post. I am definitely a summer person just looking at these pictures puts a smile on my face that simply does not happen when I look at winter clothes.

Lupita Nyong’o is a breath of fresh air. She is so ladylike and stylish and unlike many of her contempories ie Miley Cyrus she shows you do not need to show a plunging cleavage or wear next to nothing in order to look good.

She exudes style and has a great love for colour.

She came to light in 12 years a slave. A film my children have said is incredible if you can manage to look at the cruelty ( I am not sure I could).

She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn with a modern twist. I hope she remains unspoilt and true to her self.
